BCMCD is proud to offer our first Movement for Birth Workshop! It will include sessions on Spinning Babies® techniques, Using Your Voice for Birth, Pelvic Floor Awareness, Prenatal Yoga, and Oxytocin Awareness.

About Sharon Johnson, Natural Doula

Sharon is a Spinning Babies® informed certified birth and postpartum doula whose care radiates from the Kawarthas. Additionally, she offers Kawartha Community Singing Circles, rite of passage ceremonies, and life photography.

Sharon supports beloveds by listening deeply, creating safe space, encouraging empowerment, assisting with comfort and relaxation, guiding development of authentic voice and trust in intuition, honouring the transformative experience of birth, and facilitating connection with community and resources.

About Carley Flower, Yoga Flora

​Carley is a fully registered Yoga Instructor with a 500HR Certification through the Yoga Alliance. Now a mother of two, her passion for women’s and maternal wellness began in 2015, just before becoming pregnant with her first child. She is a certified Prenatal Yoga Instructor and a Core Confidence Trainer; an evidence-informed program developed by core fitness professionals and pelvic floor physiotherapists to help prepare the body for birth and support postpartum recovery. She has furthered her expertise with a Pre/Postnatal Fitness Specialist certification and has led numerous classes and programs dedicated to supporting women through all stages of motherhood.


Join Carley for a 60-minute class designed for the body and mind during the physical and emotional transformation of pregnancy. With a focus on pelvic floor awareness, functional articulation and connection to your true core, build strength and support by activating key muscles through mindful movements. Find ease with restorative stretches and explore breathing techniques that help prepare and guide you through the birth of your baby (babies). Guided meditation aids in relaxation during these times of transition, development and constant change.


All necessary props are provided. Just bring your water bottle and a Yoga mat.

(Will have extras if needed.)
